Scope: Users, email sign-up/verification, password reset (SMTP), login sessions, roles and permissions, profiles, user panel.

Acceptance criteria: Owner can create an account, log in and manage roles; admin-only pages are protected.

Tracked in titus-ai projects/divan/TASKS.md and ROADMAP Phase 6.

Scope decided by the owner (2026-10-08): keep it simple. Email address and password only, no emails sent (no verification or reset mail). Sign-up, sign-in/out, sessions, change password, delete account; then favourites/bookmarks (#24) and the word collection (#25).
